Thai fonts from TLWG

The Thai Linux Working Group maintains the fonts that have given Linux and other free systems their Thai for more than two decades, released together as the fonts-tlwg package. Several began at NECTEC, Thailand’s national electronics and computer technology centre, and in the National Font Project; others, such as Laksaman, are the group’s own adaptations of national fonts.

The 13 families here include interface faces (Garuda, Loma, Umpush, Waree), document serifs (Kinnari, Norasi), a handwriting face (Purisa), a geometric loopless sans (Sawasdee) and the fixed-width Tlwg Mono, Typewriter, Typist and Typo. All but Waree use the GPL with the font exception, and we offer the source package next to the downloads. The Arundina families, which the group also maintains, are credited to SIPA.
