Cadson Demak
5 families with strong personality for posters, covers, packaging and titles.
Display faces are drawn to be seen large: on posters, book covers, packaging, signs and the first screen of a website. They trade the even rhythm of a text face for character. In this group of 5 families, Chonburi brings sharp thick-and-thin contrast without loops, Pattaya is a brushy companion to the Lobster script, Plaimanas07 is a narrow, high-contrast face rooted in Thai calligraphy, and Srisakdi, with its national-font original TH Srisakdi, adds old-style flourishes for ceremonial titles.
Use them for a few words at a time, give them room, and set the text underneath in a quieter face. Thai display type often needs more line spacing than you would expect, because tall flourishes and stacked vowel and tone marks reach further above and below the line than Latin capitals do. Check a long word with marks on top, such as ที่นี่, before you settle on a size.
