Anuphan

A loopless Thai sans that Cadson Demak drew to sit beside IBM Plex Sans, with the same engineered, slightly squared curves. One variable file covers every weight from thin to bold, which makes it an easy choice for interface text and long reading. This site sets its body copy in it.

The zip holds the original 1 font file exactly as it was published, the licence text and a README with a checksum for each file.

Free to use in any project, commercial or not, and free to share, embed and change. The one thing you cannot do is sell the font files on their own. A changed version must stay under the same licence and must not use any Reserved Font Name listed in the copyright line.

You may

  • Use the font in personal and commercial work: print, logos, apps, video and websites.
  • Embed it in documents and apps, and host the files on your own website.
  • Share the files with anyone, as long as the licence goes with them.
  • Change the font, as long as your version stays under the OFL.

You may not

  • Sell the font files on their own.
  • Give a changed version any Reserved Font Name the copyright line lists.

Read the full licence →Our plain reading, not legal advice. The licence text is what counts.

Use it on the web

Host the files from the download on your own site. Our copies serve the previews on this page; they are not a font service for other sites.

From Google Fonts: in the <head> of your page
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com">
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.gstatic.com" crossorigin>
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Anuphan:wght@100..700&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">
Then in your CSS
body {
  font-family: "Anuphan", sans-serif;
}
Or host it yourself: CSS
/* Unzip anuphan.zip and copy the font files into a fonts/anuphan/ folder
   on your own site, next to this stylesheet. Keep OFL.txt with them. */

@font-face {
  font-family: "Anuphan";
  src: url("fonts/anuphan/Anuphan[wght].ttf") format("truetype");
  font-weight: 100 700;
  font-style: normal;
  font-display: swap;
}

body {
  font-family: "Anuphan", sans-serif;
}

PairingFor body text that should keep the traditional loops, Sarabun sits well underneath. Kanit is a loopless face with more presence for headings.
