Google Sans

Google's own interface typeface, released under the OFL with Thai among the many scripts it covers. Its Thai is looped and sits evenly with the Latin. We link to Google Fonts rather than host it, because the trademark notice ties the name to the original files.

Why there is no preview here

The OFL allows sharing the files, but the trademark notice that ships with them limits the "Google Sans" name to the original files, and those are about 5 MB each, too large for a web preview. Get it from Google Fonts.

Without the files we cannot show Google Sans in its own letters, so the sheet below is set in the site's text face, Anuphan. It shows the characters, not this font's drawing of them.

  • Embed it in documents and apps, and host the files on your own website.
  • Share the files with anyone, as long as the licence goes with them.
  • Change the font, as long as your version stays under the OFL.

You may not

  • Sell the font files on their own.
  • Give a changed version any Reserved Font Name the copyright line lists.

Use it on the web

We do not serve Google Sans, but Google Fonts does.

From Google Fonts: in the <head> of your page
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com">
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.gstatic.com" crossorigin>
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Google+Sans:ital,wght@0,400..700;1,400..700&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">
Then in your CSS
body {
  font-family: "Google Sans", sans-serif;
}

PairingAnuphan is a loopless partner for headings or interface text, and Noto Serif Thai adds a looped serif if long text needs a second voice.
